Circa 4th-6th centuries. Weight of 9 Nomismata (Orichalcum, 26x26 mm, 40.34 g), a uniface square coin weight with double-grooved edges. Ṅ - † - Θ, engraved in outline and inlaid in silver, underneath three ornamented arches, one curved, the others pointed, supported by four columns; all engraved in outline and inlaid in copper; above and below the arches ΘЄ-૪X/A-PI-C ('Grace of God') engraved in outline and inlaid in silver. While the triple-arched weights are almost always commercial, not only is this piece one of the few such coin weights, it is also a rare 9 Nomismata-piece, weighing 1/8 of a Roman pound
